The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) invites application from Indian Citizens for the following 778 posts of Jr. Engineers on OMR Application forms only :

  1. Jr. Engineer (Civil) : 610 posts in various departments
  2. Jr. Engineer (Electrical) : 13 posts in PWD
  3. Jr. Engineer (Mechanical) : 109 posts in various departments
  4. Jr. Engineer (Agriculture) : 46 posts
Pay Scale : Rs.9300-34800 grade pay Rs.4200/-

Age : 21-35 years as on 01/07/2011. Relaxation as per rules.

OMR Application Form : OMR Application form can be purchesd from designated Post Offices in Uttarakhand state for the cost of Rs.220/- (Rs.130/- for SC/ST/PH candidates of Uttarakhand).

Application Fee : Rs.180/- (Rs.90/- for SC/ST/PH candidates of Uttarakhand) in the form of bank DD / Postal Order in favor of Secretary, Uttarakhand Public Service Service Commission, Haridwar payable at Haridwar. Candidate should write their name, address at the back of the DD/IPO.

How to Apply : Application forms in the prescribed OMR format completed in all respects must reach the Secretary, Uttarakhand Public Service Commission, Gurukul Kangri, Haridwar-249404 at the commission office either by registered post/ speed post or personally (by hand) up to 06-00 P.M. on or before 27/09/2011.

Get Ready, Make sure your interview attire is neat, tidy and appropriate for the type of firm you are interviewing with. Bring a nice portfolio with copies of your resume. Include a pen and paper for note taking.

Be On Time, Be on time for the interview. On time means five to ten minutes early. If need be, take some time to drive to the office ahead of time so you know exactly where you are going and how long it will take to get there.

Stay Calm, During the job interview try to relax and stay as calm possible. Take a moment to regroup. Maintain eye contact with the interviewer. Listen to the entire question before you answer and pay attention - you will be embarrassed if you forget the question!

Show What You Know, Try to relate what you know about the company when answering questions. When discussing your career accomplishments match them to what the company is looking for.

Follow Up, Always follow-up with a thank you note reiterating your interest in the position. If you interview with multiple people send each one a thank you note.
